I concur with all of the previous comments.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">In my eight years at Steam Up this was the biggest turnout that I can remember. </p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">The air & steam tables could have handled more exhibitors, as could the field exhibitors. I did expect a larger turnout of antique cars. Much to my surprise, at the coffee, donut and goodie table, we did not receive one negative comment about food pricing. The antique popcorn maker, compliments of the Mystic Seaport, raised $ 359.00 for the museum. There were a number of comments about event scheduling. I learned that Rider, the young lad with the long ponytail, and a steam talent, was at the Kent CT show. The Boy Scouts did an excellent job. I will send the troop a thank you. The new coffee pot ran flat out and flawlessly all day thanks to Randy, who I believe did a Friday night rewire. Suzy has a complete run down on donuts. Some are far more popular than others. We probably could have gotten by with 2-3 dozen less. It was nice to see Freds family. They attempted to say hello to all of Freds friends . At the end of the day, out of habit, I peeked in the donation box and there sat another approx. $ 160.00 in cash and checks.
