<font color='black' size='2' face='arial'>Hey All,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Well it wasn't Harvey but the water line to the kitchen coffee pot burst sometime this week and left us with some water in the basement. Ken and Ernie Darrow, who is a new volunteer but an old hand at the museum did a good job of cleaning up. Some of the storage down there got pretty wet but it doesn't look like a disaster. We'll see how it all turns out next week when we go thru the stuff that got wet.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Craig has finished rearranging and painting the display cases in the Wireless Bld'g and has turned his talents toward the audio part of the new program to automate the display cases. Warren was able to assist Craig with that job.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Randy turned up with a truck load of scrap wood for the boiler and got it cut and stacked near the Outlook...ready for use at Steam Up. He also got the model engine he was working on in running order by adjusting the valves. This model will make a good showpiece for any shows the museum attends.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Ernie Darrow looked at the broken cross head slide on the model engine that went to the Worlds Fair Expo in Lincoln and thinks he can easily fix it.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>George and Lou finished glazing the replacement windows for the Steam Bld'g The finish painting, when the glazing compound dries will complete that job. We might get it finished before Steam Up....if not shortly thereafter.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Next week we will fill the boiler and check it out to get ready for Steam Up.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Tim stopped by and discussed some details about advertising and was off again.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The fire extinguishers were checked and certified this morning so that is a detail we can forget about until next year. It looks like everything is falling into place for Steam Up.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We were all busy today and got a lot accomplished. Pats on the back for all!!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Dave is still laid up with his broken foot... we again wish him a speedy recovery.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Best regards,</div>
