<font color='black' size='2' face='arial'>Hi All,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Today...Saturday... was our last Saturday opening for this summer. The weather wasn't as nice as we would like it to be but at least it didn't rain. We hoped the poorer weather would entice people to visit as the beaches would be empty and folks would need to get out to go somewhere. Wherever they went they didn't flock to our museum. We did however have a decent turnout...about twenty people showed up. We had a few very nice complements about the museum and some vowed to return at Steam Up. The number of visitors is good advertising for us. The more that show up is more word of mouth that enhances the probability of future visits by others.We even sold a few T shirts.</div>

</div>
<div>We tried a new procedure today of putting a sign on the front door of the Mayes Bld'g to direct visitors there from the parking area. Getting them to enter through that door also gives us better control of traffic coming in. A table was set up at the end of the incoming corridor to greet the visitors as they entered. The donation box was moved to the table as a first stop as they come in. We also initiated a name tag ID each visitor received after they paid the entrance fee. This will let us be aware of who paid and if anyone bypassed the Mayes Bld'g on the way in. (We live and learn) We also started the same system for all the staff so the visitors will be able to address us by name...all good I hope.</div>

<div>Randy brought a commercial compressor in to provide air to run the engines which worked out well as it has in the past. Dave Crowell showed up and he manned the radio station. Being a Ham Operator he was a great asset for that position. Dave Caldwell handled the Wireless Bld'g and Randy had the Steam Bld'g assisted by Warren Hagist and Terry Jones. Lou was in the Mayes Bld'g. Jeff Berry stopped by to do some museum business.</div>

<div> By the way.. Warren found his lost hat and was very pleased. It was on the floor near the Armington Sims engine where he now remembers he took it off and it somehow ended up on the floor. In any case he was glad to have it back.</div>

</div>
<div>Steam Up is right around the corner...lets all be ready for the final push to get everything done.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Best Regards to all,</div>
